It's a New Day

Hi there,
The new Board meets Monday, the 18th, at 5:30 p.m. Some of the items we will be discussing are the approved tile and lobby project, better utilization of our manager's unit for income and sick time for our employees, all very important items. We will also be discussing current maintenance and some needed maintenance for the building as well as costs for those projects.

Board meetings are open to all unit owners and you are encouraged to be there. As it is not a unit owners' meeting, there are no votes to be held for unit owners but you are given an opportunity to ask questions and speak at the end of the meeting, limiting your comments to three minutes. If you are not in residence at this time or not able to attend the meeting, feel free to leave any comments you have with regard to the above items and I will bring them to the Board's attention. Hope to hear from you.

See ya at the Board meeting.

Randee

Shannon and Marty are both wonderful.

It's no big deal, however, the last time I was in town, I did notice the coping around the top of the hot tub needed some painting.

Elizabeth and I think that a Grand Coquina BLOG is a wonderful idea and look forward to participating on a regular basis.

I note utilizing the manager's unit to generate better income is a topic for Monday's meeting.

Just before John Perry left (if memory serves) he was looking into the idea of renting space on our roof for relay towers. Is that a workable idea?

Happy BLOGGING!!!

I have seen MANY improvements over the last years ... and I am grateful for those improvements. It is my HOPE that the new board will continue to update our building and keep this an ongoing project. I personally LOVED the suggestions that Ruby brought to the table. I was disappointed that the tile will not go throughout but wanted to just state as I wish I could be there for the meeting but my 11 year old has decided instead to run fevers off and on for the last several days , that it would be my choice to then see that the interior is painted something similar to what Ruby suggested and that we get rid of the dated green ... overkill. ALso, another subject I would like to have put on the table would be to consider an area of the grass where we could put pavers and an outdoor grill or fire pit for everyones use. I love to grill but obviously cannot while I am there.

Other than that, I commend those who volunteer their time on the board and I wish you a successful year and if you should need any help on any committees, please feel free to call me for them...
