Hi All,
Thought it would be fun to find out who's traveling where this summer. We're going on our first ever Alaskan cruise next month. Larry has even talked me into the helicopter glacier tour. I guess it's probably less dangerous than driving on ISB but it still scares the heck out of me. I'll let you know how it went (hopefully).
Tell us about an upcoming trip or even a favorite one from the past. I would even appreciate some tips for our cruise. We are doing an inside passage from Seattle, round-trip. Looking forward to hearing about all of your adventures.

Julie and I did that a few years ago from Vancouver and absolutely loved it. I guarantee that you will have a fantastic time! That is a trip that should be mandatory for everyone to take in their lifetime.
At one of the stops, at my age I can't remember which one, we took a train trip to the Yukon and at one of the stops I found a casette of an old recording of Robert Service reciting his own poetry of Alaska, "The Shooting of Sam McGrew" and "The Cremation of Sam Magee". (I'm sure that I misspelled something there.)It is one of my prized possessions.
I hope that you will post your pictures on your blog when you get back.

We are doing one big train ride when we're in Skagway that sounds awesome. I will definitely post some pictures -- especially fron the helicopter. I would love people to post pictures of their trips on the site. Would be a great way to get to know our neighbors. Thanks, as always, for your particiation .. comments.

Hi Randee, Rick and I have been to Alaska three times. It is our favorite trip. Enjoy every minute. Wednesday we are on our way to Brussels, Amsterdam, and Bruges. We are going to see the tulips. Eat,drink,and bring your binoculars. There are loads of animals to see but they tend to be a little removed from where you will be. Take a morning walk at dawn on the deck or a dusk to see the most activity. Have fun. Don't think of dieting until you come home. Jan Wolf
